What is Paragon?
Paragon is a new tournament series focusing on the Super Smash Bros. series (and other games like League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, DotA 2, and more.). The Apex Series had asked Gaming Knights if they could run an Apex World Circuit event, so they teamed up with Versus Gaming Center to put on this yearly event for those all over to attend. We are focusing on bringing next-level technology and mind-blowing production value to the event!
Where is Paragon?
See the venue page for the location of this Paragon tournament.
How much does it cost?
To enter any games there is a one-time $30 venue fee. Each game you wish to enter is an additional $10 per individual. The $10 per game will directly contribute to the prize pool for the game you enter, whereas the $30 does not - it is to cover organization and venue expenses. To see specifically how much each place will payout for each game (which can increase until registration is closed), hover over the game you are interested in on the top of the page.
If you just wish to spectate and not enter the tournament for any games, there is a $20 spectator fee that should be paid when you arrive at the venue.
If I was too late to register online can I still register in person?
Yes, you can still register in person at the event, but the venue fee will be doubled to $60 in addition to the $10 entrance fee for each game. We will be accepting credit and debit cards as well as cash at the venue to pay for registration fees. You will also be placed in a seperate pool consisting only of late registrants coined as the 'Death Pool'. This pool is double elimination, and then the two winners of the death pool will play each other in the first round of the semifinals bracket.
What do I need to bring to Paragon?
If you are attending to compete in Smash Bros. please bring a controller, we will not be providing controllers.
Can I attend Paragon without having to compete?
Yes, there will be a spectator fee to go along with that, but will be only $20 to attend both days of the event. The $20 is to be collected in-person on the day of the event, we will be accepting credit and debit cards as well as cash at the event to pay for spectator passes. We will have seats available for spectators to watch, as well as vendors and other activities for the spectators to enjoy! Spectators are also allowed to play on game setups that are designated for 'friendlies'.
